NDOC’s Resolution 209

The Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) recently proposed a permanent regulation to change Chapter 209 of the Nevada Administrative Code (NAC). This proposal would stop all nonlegal mail at correctional centers throughout the state.

At NPEP, we strongly oppose this measure and urge those who have been personally impacted to reach out to the NDOC. Many family members and close friends have used mail to communicate or share information with incarcerated individuals - NDOC’s proposal would put an end to these communications. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments about this measure.
